I love the tonal neutrals that were staring back at me from my desk . . .
Happy Monday! It is the start of another week. I spent a great deal of time cleaning off my desk + work area yesterday. Feels like months since I actually sat at it. Sometimes I like to move my workspaces… especially when my desk is piled with bag samples, clothes and papers… but I digress. This Mood Board Monday I decided to do something a little different. Instead of creating an actual mood board, I decided to select colors from real life, and what was right in front of my eyes. I was sipping coffee as I worked and realized I loved the color combination that this little corner of my life was creating. It’s neutral, and soft while at the same time contrasting in a subtle way. Perhaps it is a palette you can incorporate into your life or wardrobe in some way?
Cheers to a great week ahead! Be productive and don’t forget to have fun!!
sometimes I draw myself as I see myself and it looks nothing like what I look like in the present . . .
a bright palette of colors for Spring w/ a little neutral thrown in for balance. . .
Hey guys, I sat down to create a mood board for you and ended up sketching what I wish I was wearing today . . . Even though I don’t design clothes anymore, the desire to create came on strong and I just had to go with it, so this is what Mood Board Monday looks like today!

With summer rapidly approaching, I’m noticing that my tastes are leaning toward more prints and patterns as of late. I wear so much black and gray that I guess I am feeling a little rebellious and wanting to break out of my self imposed colorless prison. So today I created a palette that has a lot of white so that the pattern is not overwhelming, even though it is actually infused with color. The beige helps to keep it grounded and lets the brighter colors have a soft tone to pop against.
What do you think? Is this a palette you would wear?

black, white, creme, navy + mint . . . fresh + classic . . .
a perfect palette to transition into Spring . . .
This Mood Board Monday I am sharing an understated mood board and palette that was inspired by the first day of Spring, which (unbelievably) graced us with it’s presence 2 days ago. Right now I am loving the classic-fresh feel of white, creme, gray, and muted mint. Combined with the rich contrast of black and navy, I think it makes a great transitional color palette for Spring. If the weather where you are is not quite feeling like Springtime yet, think about adding heavier textures like a black embossed croc bag, or a nubby wool peacoat to balance out the white and creme. By adding the muted mint, you can bring in color and make it fresh in a way that doesn’t scream “Spring picnic” in the midst of a snow storm.
Is this a palette you would incorporate into your wardrobe?
