How was your holiday?Did you celebrate with friends and family? Did you eat good food? Did you spend time alone, rejuvenating your mind and body? I hope that however you spent it, it was good for you. I spent mine with lots of family, laughter and food . . . and then I promptly got sick for 2 days. So did my daughter. Today is the first day I am out of bed and feeling bettah. Now it’s time to gear up for New Year’s Celebrations. Do you have plans for the eve? Plans for the day? Either way, make it a safe one! There’s a new year upon us. It’s exciting to think that there are 365 days ahead of us to craft into what we want. Here’s to the New Year and making it the best yet!
Last week was a hard week for our family. My husband’s father passed away. Been doing a lot of reflecting and thinking about life in general. It’s a gloomy overcast day today, but it’s actually just the sort of day I love. Cool weather in Cali for a change. Just wanted to bring a little color into the day, so I made a collage of a color that always tends to inspire me, (though I usually only wear it as a lip color). Red.
Reston’s hand rendered eggs (He has a slight fascination with Eve from the movie Wall-e. She shows up everywhere in our house.)
Hope you all had a fantastic Easter! We waited too long to buy Easter Egg dye, so we decided to run by Target after church on Sunday to pick some up. To our surprise, and with recognition of it’s coolness, Target was closed!!! So we opted for other media to use. The kids used some of mommy’s Prismacolor markers and their own Crayolas. I think we had more fun using the markers than we ever had using dye! We hid the eggs throughout the house and had a timed egg hunt. Fun ending to a wonderful day of praise, thanks giving, and family togetherness.
