Warby Parker June Sunglasses in Moonstone, starting at $95
I was recently approached by Warby Parker to help them announce their newest collection of frames for Summer 2015. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Warby Parker, it is an American brand of prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses that are sold online and in select showrooms across the US. The company was created to fill the void of attractive, quality eyeglass frames sold at affordable prices. There’s a lot to love about Warby Parker. For one, their glasses start at $95, and they offer free shipping and returns. If you do not live near one of their showrooms, don’t fret; they also offer a try-on-at-home program, where you can select 5 different frames, and have them sent to you to try on at home prior to purchasing, for free. Best of all, for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is given to someone in need! Well priced, good quality, fashionable eyewear for all? Can’t beat that!
For their Summer 2015 collection, Warby Parker is introducing two new shades; Sea Green Crystal and Ginger Crystal. They are also introducing several new frame styles. I selected two of my favorite sunglass frames, June and Oxley, to create day + evening style boards with so you can get an idea of how you can incorporate Warby Parker’s frames into your own wardrobe.

For those of you who might be looking to add more color to your wardrobe, think accent colors. You don’t necessarily have to do head to toe color. A simple bright accent or pop of color on your shoes or accessories can go a long way to freshening up the look of an otherwise neutral outfit. Yellow is a great color to play with. A little goes a long way. But don’t get me wrong, I have a few all yellow dresses in my closet that totally brighten my mood whenever I wear them . . .
DESTINATION:: Perfect for a working lunch date . . .
Yellow also plays well with other colors.I love it paired unexpectedly with peach and black. These are 2 colors I might not ordinarily think to combine with yellow, but in a small dose, it definitely adds a little punch . . .
I’m not going to complain about the weather, because I know there are those of you who would much rather be running around in sundresses and flip flops. But the title of this post pretty much sums up how I’m feeling. This hot January weather is really wrecking my style game!!! ☀

Ok, so Sophia Webster is quickly becoming one of my fav shoe designers!! I know we are in the throws of winter, but I couldn’t pass up sharing this beautiful graphic conglomeration of bold orange, pink, black and white patterns. It takes serious skill to mesh stripes, chevron and tassels, and this shoe just knocks it out the box!!!
I have always had a love affair with rings. (Actually, I think I developed a deep fondness for them when I recognized the similarity between my fingers and E.T.’s. #truth). At that time, I saw rings as a distraction or disguise for my lanky digits. These days I am quite comfortable with my fingers and love that I can pile on layers upon layers of rings. I have a penchant for chunky oversized rings. This season . . . well any season really, I am looking to indulge my senses with another addition to my statement ring collection. Here are a few beauties I’ve got my eye on. . . .

I’ll let you in on a little ritual I go through before I start my work day. Before I sit down to work at my desk every morning, I stop and picture what I will be wearing when I actually have an office to work from that is not located in my bedroom. This is today’s outfit. I can feel the silk lining of of the dress on my skin, and I know just what I am carrying in that tote. I could even tell you what I’ve got written in that little red snakeskin notebook . . . but then, of course, I’d have to kill you . . . ☺
I‘m sure you can probably see through my blogging bluffs and antics and realize that [sometimes] when I post inspiration shots it means I have not had time to sit and gather my thoughts into what I would like to think is a coherent, somewhat entertaining post. Notice I said sometimes . . . I’m pointing this out because this is true for today. But also I just really LOVE these boots and wanted to share them with you. Plus I just love the blogger’s descriptive post about when she received said boots in the mail. I was right there with her and knew that I would have had the same reaction!! Visit A Portable Package for a quick adrenaline rush fueled by this special delivery. I swear I could have written that same post!!
Anyway, the kiddies are off visiting Abuela for the weekend and now I pretty much have NO excuse as to why my workspace is looking like Ground Zero in a paper snowstorm. Yeah, I know. Thats what happens when you come face to face with your own perfectly refined procrastination skills. Well, at least for me, what happens is that I begin to blubberingly confess the aforementioned skills to others in a feeble attempt to hold myself accountable. Which is pretty much what you have just read 4 lines above. See, my thinking is that now that you know that I have no excuse, I will have to clean my workspace because NOW YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE NO EXCUSE!!! And then I can come back and tell you how refreshed I feel because when I sit down to write my next post, I won’t be hunched over and pinched in between a 15″ wide space of cascading books and papers (topped off with a nice stack of neatly folded laundry . . . don’t ask…) Well, thats the goal for today guys.
