A Current Affair Vintage Pop Up . . . I spent last Saturday traipsing through tons of amazing vintage clothing, jewelry  and accessories. There were 60+ vendors showcasing an array of vintage delicacies from every era imaginable. Inspiration was everywhere, from the clothing racks to the people perusing them. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. The event was put on by A Current Affair and held in a bright and airy penthouse space on the 11th floor of the Cooper Building. Walking the aisles proved to be a treat. There were beautiful displays of well curated jewelry, clothing and accessories at every turn . . . I loved the decor of the lounge area, which featured mid century modern furniture provided by Urban Americana. Even the furniture was available for purchase. I fell in love with this dress, however I had to leaver her behind. It’s a funny thing, being a small business owner, I tend to weigh my high end purchases by what I could do with the money I would be spending if I were to put it back into my business. I often end up walking away, unless I just can’t get that item out of my mind. She was hard to walk away from, and as I was looking at her, two ladies stopped and told me I had the perfect hair for that dress. Lol! Never heard it put that way before, nevertheless, she remained on the rack. At least I have a picture of her!
vintage_clothing_shopping_ These racks of clothes and their color (or lack of) make me so happy! I fell in love with so many of the vintage frames in the Allyn Scura booth. It was definitely a little slice of heaven for this sunglass addict . . . Loved the light fixture at the elevator bank upon entering/exiting the 11th floor. I was drawn to this work of art by Berlin based artist, Nike Schroeder. This particular piece can be found hanging in the Cooper Building lobby.

A Current Affair vintage pop up was founded in 2010 by Richard Wainwright of NEW/FOUND and Joey Grana of Scout. ACA is a 2 day pop up held 3 times/year in Los Angeles at the Cooper Building Penthouse and recently added a Brooklyn New York pop up to it’s roster this past Spring. Ticket prices for the event range from $12-$28. Vendor prices range from around $40-$2000+. If you are planning to go, I suggest getting the preview admission tickets in order to get a first hand perusal of the goodies in a relaxed atmosphere.  Visit for more info, upcoming show dates and vendors.

Label Love | Grey City Shoes . . . I love the cut out details, rivets and buckles on this bootie that Grey City is debuting for Spring.

Grey Butter soft leather is accentuated by textured suede and stacked heels @ the Grey City booth during the Transit Shoe Show last month. Style shown:: Billie To purchase click here.

I recently discovered Grey City Shoes @ LA Market Week’s Transit Shoe Show last month. Not only do I love their shoes, but I also discovered that Grey City’s designer is a fellow FIDM alumni, which, honestly, made me like the line even more! It’s always inspiring to see other FIDM grads pursuing and achieving their dreams. Grey City is based in Seattle, Washington and is designed by Vikki Andrews, who co-owns the company with childhood friend, Kyle Grant. Vikki debuted the line in the Fall of 2012 and Grey City is now in it’s 4th season. This season’s line features a lot of really great booties with cut out details and buckles. Being that the line is so fashion forward, I thought it would be fun to create some outfits based on a few of their styles to show you how I would wear Grey City . . .

I LOVE the playful gold capped “fringe” and chunky heel, not to mention the gorgeous saffron color. This style is called LEO and it can be found @

I’ve always been partial to peep toes, and the bowed shape of this heel accentuates the lace-up front and side cut outs of this peep toe bootie spectacularly! This style is called Kennedy and can be purchased here.

Grey City retails from $150-$200 and can be found online @, and Urban Outfitters.

Sophia Webster Leilou Stripe leather, suede and canvas sandal $595 here.

Ok, so Sophia Webster is quickly becoming one of my fav shoe designers!! I know we are in the throws of winter, but I couldn’t pass up sharing this beautiful graphic conglomeration of bold orange, pink, black and white patterns. It takes serious skill to mesh stripes, chevron and tassels, and this shoe just knocks it out the box!!!

I LOVE THIS SHOE!!!!! –Santa, can you hear me???

Thakoon Addition Leather sleeved tweed bomber jacket | Chanel Le Boy Large handbag | Throwback Nirvana Crop Top | T by Alexander Wang Leather pencil skirt  | Sophia Webster Jessica printed pump | Hive + Honey Arrow Bracelet | Eddie Borgo scaled triangel earrings | Victoria Beckham metal butterfly sunnies

Loving these printed leather and vinyl pumps by Sophia Webster!! The mixing of prints in fashion today is really addicting and inspiring! I love how Sophia Webster has mixed polka dots and classic tortoiseshell. You could wear these pumps with pretty much anything and they would kick your style up a notch in a really playful way.
