Die-Hard tunic lover that I am, I confess I have not worn pants under a dress since I was about 6 years old. (With this confession I exclude leggings, printed tights and jeggings from the umbrella of “pants”). It’s a look I have always loved when done right. Lucille Ball did it phenomenally on I love Lucy… Flash forward to the 21st century and check out Acne Studios Pre-Fall collection. They have knocked this look out of the ballpark. I LOVE the silhouettes they have created with the dress-pant combo. The perfect way to rock this look is with the urban edge they have given it via scrunched bottom form fitting leggings and sexy stiletto sandals. I will definitely be re-interpreting the look this fall.
Biker Jacket ★ Tote ★Ankle Boot: Adding these key pieces to your wardrobe will update your look instantly! Classic silhouettes like these can be found in a variety of styles, and best of all, they are uber-versatile and can be dressed up or down. Tomorrow I will share some of my favorite biker jacket styles and what to look for when purchasing.
Hope you are all making this Tuesday a marvelous one!
Back in the day when I had my clothing line, I was an avid consumer of Vlisco fabrics. Their Wax Hollaindais prints were a constant source of inspiration for me and I incorporated them into some of my favorite dresses and garments in the line. Since that time, Vlisco has grown and incorporated their own fashion and accessories collections. I am in love with many of their pieces, just looking at their line gives me that designer’s itch . . . . it almost hurts!!! . . . . Simply Gorgeous!!!!
The rich colors and patterns remind me of some pieces in Burberry’s recent Spring 2012 collection which I posted on back in November. The last 2 Burberry Prorsum collections have been on my wishlist since they debuted. The Spring collection is a wonderfully contemporary way to do prints . . . but I digress, yall are lucky my alarm just went off, I could’ve added another 2 paragraphs to this post!!!
These coats have been all over the glossies and fashion blogs for a while now. There is something appealing about them in photos, but I’m not sure that I could pull it off in real life. Nevertheless, this is an awesome image. The stark contrast of colors and the pairing of leather and “fur” . . . . I love it.
