Today is my first day back at work. Luckily I am still on vacay schedule, as the kiddies and Rob are still home. It’s crazy to me that tomorrow is New Year’s Eve. 2014 is quickly coming to a close. I’m glad to watch it go, and excited to usher in 2015. However, it’s been a little hard getting back into the swing of things. I haven’t blogged since a few weeks before Christmas. Handbag production and deliveries have been keeping me busy (thankfully), and I am gearing up to do 2 local trunk shows. Things are good. So to get my writing flow back on track, I thought I would check in with a “Currently I am . . .” post. I’d love to know what you are doing currently. Please share in the comments below!
1. thinking . . .
cliche, but I’m thinking this year really flew by fast… and how it’s been more than a minute since I posted!!!

sadly, Judge Judy. My daughter loves this show and just joined me in my room for “girl time;” apparently Judge Judy has been invited to girl time today . . .
8. making . . .
mental notes on posts I need to complete, and errands I need to run later . . . it’s called multitasking people. :)

10. drinking . . .

Happy New Year guys! Be safe and have fun. I’ll see you next year!!
This post should probably be filed under Thankful Thursdays, but seeing as today is a beautiful, rainy Friday ☁☂☁, and my current mental state is reflecting full-on, hardcore thankfulness ☀, I had to post it today, right NOW! I just wanted to send a thank you out to everyone who’s orders I am diligently working on filling right now. The orders are pouring in like a much needed California rain storm, and I am so thankful for each and every one of you!! Your response to the new collection, and the orders you have placed have been such a blessing and have allowed me to work even harder and more passionately at this business that I love so much! I am so thankful that you see the vision and are along for the ride with me as I continue to grow my business by offering new styles of handbags and accessories. I am filled with so much happiness right now! Sitting here at my desk today, looking out at the rain, I am thanking God for you guys. You make me want to continue to create more and more beautiful handbags that you will love. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU . . . you inspire me!!!
Hey guys, I haven’t done too many musical posts, but I just had to share this with you. I come from a relatively musical family. My grandmother was a trained classical pianist and professional singer, my mom and husband are professional singers, and my brother is a singer/songwriter/music producer. Music has always played a huge part in my life. It’s a shame that in being surrounded by all this “musicality” I didn’t get any vocal gifts. I do, however, think I have a good ear for music, tones and sounds. (I’m also quite adept at translating thick accents, lol, but I digress . . . ) The purpose of this post is to share with you my brother’s latest single, which debuted Monday overseas. His latest project is a single called “Save Me” off his soon to be released ep. As of this latest album he is going by the name LISTENBEE (previously known as Goon Rock). I know I am biased, but I love this song. Click below to take a listen for yourself. . .
Stay tuned for his album dropping early next year . . . I am definitely a proud sister, who can’t wait for the rest of the world to experience more of his musical genius! :)
Hey guys! It’s Wednesday… the middle of a week that seems to be flying past with warp speed!!In the midst of all the activity of filling orders and shuffling kiddies around, I realized that I have approximately 5 different To Do lists and they each have about 3 items crossed off on each of them. This, my friends, is NOT organization. I guess sometimes it just be’s like that. The funny thing is, I recently had a conversation with a friend about this very thing! We confessed to each other that we have a bad habit of compiling all of our lists (an exercise which takes up valuable time) and by the time we are done with the multi-list compilation, we don’t feel much like doing anything else on the list. Kinda ridiculous huh? Well the moral of the story is this: JUST DO IT! Instead of trying to make everything perfect, or waiting for just the right moment, JUST DO IT! Correct, tweak and fix things as you go, the important thing is to get moving. Hope the rest of your week is successful and that you are able to check mucho items off your To Do lists!
Hey guys, happy Sunday! Wanted to let you know that the holiday collection pre-order discount ends tonight @ midnight. After that prices will go up. So click here to get in on the pre-order pricing . . . of course, you can always order after midnight, but I don’t have to tell you how good it feels to get a deal on something you love! ♥
So you may or may not know that I participated in a video shoot for Bri Seeley’s Inspirational Woman Project a few weeks back. I first met Bri (who is also an amazing designer) this past summer when I covered the Ballet Preljocaj at the Dorothy Chandler Music Center. Well about 2 weeks ago I spent the day with Bri and about 12 other amazing women. It was a fun day of shooting, laughing, talking and discussing what we love about being women. I am so on board with the mission of this project, that it was really an honor to be a part of the video shoot. I feel like it truly embodies my whole belief system. If you haven’t yet heard of it, “The Inspirational Woman Project is a movement dedicated to women finding their inner power of inspiration.” I love the mission behind this project which emphasizes women encouraging each other to be their best selves, and in that, coming together with other women to create positive change in the world around us. I mean how fantastic is that?
You can read more about The Inspirational Women Project here. And purchase the Inspirational Women Project coffee table book that started the movement here. 15% of the proceeds from the book go to benefit Women Empowered.
Last night I attended the Blogger’s Night Out Toys for Tots Toy Drive hosted by Raven of the blog, Swank Stylista + stylist Vic Sanders of the blog Vic Styles. The event was held in downtown LA @ the very cool boutique/showroom space, Seven Points. There were lots of labels showing their wares. It was a great turn out and a relaxed atmosphere, complete with a nail station, food by Stuff ‘Em and free massages . . .
the exterior at Seven Points was just as cool as the interior . . ♡♡♡
Well hello December! The first of the month always feels good to me, and being that December is one of my favorite months, I thought I would dedicate this Mood Board Monday to December and what this month makes me feel like… If I had to sum it up in one word, I guess it would be “cozy”. December always makes me want to decorate and cozy up my home, don sweaters and boots, drink hot cups of coffee by the fire and spend lots of time indoors with my family. Even though I am a California transplant, my thoughts of winter always include snow, even if I can only experience it via Pinterest, movies and magazines!
Today’s mood board is made up of relatively neutral colors, with lots of white, creme and gray. These colors inspired me because we are in the process of painting our living room and dining room white. Even though the foundation of our rooms are white, I still want pops of color thrown in. The palette I’ve created above shows a simple way to incorporate a little color into an otherwise neutral palette. Anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous Monday transitioning back to work and school after the holidays!
