Thankful Thursdays | 10 Things I am Thankful for Today . . .

Thank God it’s Thursday! This week seems to be flying by! My days and weeks have been so different since we started homeschooling Reston. The results of homeschooling on my son have been so wonderful in such a short period of time! It really is amazing. It’s funny, although my days are structured differently, I somehow seem to be getting it all done. It doesn’t always look pretty, and my work time is typically not structured the way I like it to be, but when I look back, I can see that I am still making progress.

Next week I will be going to Vegas for a few days to cover the MAGIC show. I’m really excited about this trip. Usually I attend MAGIC for the purposes of sourcing and networking for my own business. But this time I am attending as Press! One of my passions is discovering and promoting new and existing brands, and sharing them with you.  God is putting these opportunities in my path and I am really excited to be able to pursue them!

With that said, I thought that for this Thankful Thursday, I would list a few things that I am thankful for today. I heard a man once say that a blessing is something that means something to you. I feel like I have many blessings to be thankful for. They may not seem like much to others, but I think its always good to take note, recognize and be thankful for the little things.

  1. Reston’s progress and witnessing the return of the joy of learning!!! Super BIG Yay!!!
  2. My family’s health and happiness
  3. My trip to Vegas next week and the opportunity to cover the MAGIC show
  4. My desire + passion to design and create is returning full force. (another Super BIG Yay!!!)
  5. Morning adventure walks with my son! (see photo above ☺ )
  6. My marriage of 11 years. It ain’t always easy, but the hard work is so worth it!
  7. Inside jokes and giggles with my kiddos
  8. My mom and dad being so supportive and helpful with the kids pick ups and drop offs
  9. Being 5 months gluten free. If someone had told me I would be GF a year ago I never would have believed them.
  10. Tomorrow is Friday!!!

What are you thankful for today?

I love this post Sister….had a break at the right time just to smile with you on your list. And Super Yay for Reston and for Mommy too.

I am thankful for the blogging community and the support my readers have given me over the past year. It is amazing how people you have never met can help so much in a crisis.

Omg! I know Ann! THe blogging community is really wonderful. When you find a good one, it really is reassuring to see and feel people’s kindness and encouragement.

I love the idea of Thankful Thursday! We should all focus on things we are thankful for instead of what brings us down. Have fun in Vegas! It’s been years since my last visit and I really want to go again, soon!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

Thanks Chastity! You are so right! We all get caught up in those things that bring us down every once in a while, but it’s so much healtiehr not to remain there! Besides, the problems just look bigger when you dwell on them! Thanks for your well wishes for Vegas! I hope you are able to visit again soon! And Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day to you too!!! xx

Sounds like you have a very full life and you don’t take it for granted. I’m thankful I have great friends and loving parents. I love my home,my Church and I appreciate living in a relatively safe county. I’m being quite general as the list of blessings is endless.

I totally know what you mean about a general short list of thankfuls!. Thankfully there are many, many more things to be thankful for, the good thing is recognizing that! I didn’t mention my church or friends in my list, or the fact that I live in a relatively safe country as well. Those are all wonderful add-ons, Lorna! Thanks for sharing. ☺

  5. Carla

What wonderful things to be thankful for! Congrats on the new opportunity and your sons progress with homeschooling. I don’t know what the MAGIC show is so I’ll be waiting to hear more on that.

Thanks Carla! The MAGIC show is a trade show for the fashion industry where new and established lines are available for buyers to peruse and purchase for their stores. Many new lines debut there. They have a shoe show, and accessories show, skate apparel, menswear and more. It’s huge and a great place to go for inspiration if you are able to attend. So glad you stopped by!
