Lazy Saturdaze . . .

Essentials for a lazy Saturday . . .

Essentials for a lazy Saturday . . .

The close of Spring Break is slowly approaching for our household. We thoroughly enjoyed the time off… at least I know I did. Not having to wake up at the butt-crack of dawn every morning + force the little ones out of bed has been a treat in itself. We celebrated Reston’s 11th birthday with a trip to San Diego @ the top of the week. Legoland + Sea World were our destinations. Everyone had a great time, and of course, I relished the time away, along with the change of scenery. The kids were sick for 2 days, and there were school projects to complete, but things have settled back down and it’s Saturday. I’ve got tons of stuff to do, but I plan to ease into it. I hope you all have a fab Saturday, and are able to spend time doing something you love.

Mood Board Monday | Moody Summer . . .

Hey guys! How was your weekend? Summer is officially here, according to the calendar. June 21st was the first official day of summer, and my Dad’s birthday! He is 70 now! I can’t believe it! I am so blessed to have been able to share another birthday with him. Life is so precious.

We have now entered our 2nd week of summer vacay. The kids started day camp today. They kept talking about how they didn’t want to go, but they need it so bad. And so does mama!! I haven’t really sat down to blog in a 2 weeks! I’m getting my work schedule back up and running and working on a few outside projects that I will be sharing with you shortly.

It looks like this is going to be a busy week. Our family is coming in from Texas this week. My sister and brother are renewing their wedding vows after 30 years of marriage this Saturday!! Count them . . . thirty years! I say that with complete and utter awe and admiration. What a milestone!!! I feel like a newborn baby as this September Rob + I will celebrate 13 years. A drop in the bucket in comparison, yet a milestone for us nevertheless!!

Last Saturday I had a really productive brunch\meeting with my friend Nikki and a graphic designer friend of hers that she introduced me to. (I love how God always provides the answers to questions I may be pondering or sitting on). She and I had been discussing my handbag line and I was sharing some frustrations with her while we were waiting for her friend to arrive. When he got there we all started talking and he basically confirmed that I should move forward with all the things I had just spoken to Nikki about. Without even knowing we had discussed them!! Ahhh! God is good. Confirmation is awesome. Especially since I have not been feeling my most confident in the steps I have been choosing to take moving forward with the line. ANYWAY, I said all of that just to remind you guys to remain open. The answers will come to you if you are open to hearing them. They may not come in the form or package you were expecting, but they will come to you.

And on that note I leave you with my Moody Summer mood board. I love the bright cheery colors balanced out by the moodiness of iced aqua, grey, charcoal and pastels.

Have you gotten confirmation on anything you have been grappling with lately?

Mood Board Mondays:: Still in Weekend Mode . . .

MoodBoardMonday_thelookbookphilosophy.com I know it is Monday, but thankfully, since today is a holiday (thank you to all those souls who have served our country and given their lives in the process ♥) I am still in weekend mode. Today’s mood board is representative of how I feel today. I am still in my pj’s and it is 10:42 am. And it feels goooood. Although the sun is blaring and it is 70 degrees outside, I still feel cozy in my mind. Hence the images of furry kittys and sheepskin rugs. Lol. I hope you all had/are having fabulous weekends. I am excited about the weeks to come. I am pushing myself to implement ideas that have been floating around in my head and have been written in my sketchbooks for months. That was another gem takeaway from my #blogcademy workshop. Per Gala’s exact words that I scribbled furiously into my notebook:

“Act immediately on your ideas or they loose steam . . “

It’s one of those truths that you subconsciously know, but when you hear it (in my case probably for the 40 thousandth time) it resonates with you. So, act upon them I am. And with enthusiasm! Thanks Gala!

Happy Monday guys! Make it a fab one!

Randomocities | Fitting it All in . . .

Making it Work2

image

Hey guys, I’m back from Vegas! I had an amazing time!! Needless to say I am tired. I returned with 1 blister on each foot, and a crazy headache!  But I would do it all over again. It’s so wonderful to be able to do what you love to do. Anyways, I had to hit the ground running to keep things on schedule with the kiddies and today I am feeling a little overwhelmed! I really need to schedule some office hours for myself and I just haven’t been able to be consistent. At the moment I kinda feel like I am just trying to get it in where I can fit it in. It’s a little frustrating, especially since I am a self-diagnosed workaholic with a bedroom office!! But I digress, it’s time to pick up the little one from school, so I’m off once again. Happy Weekend to you! I hope you are all having a fab Friday!

How do you make it work? Suggestions welcome ☺
