Vintage stores and thrift shops have always been a great source of inspiration for me. You never know what you are going to find, and knowing that you probably won’t see that item on the person standing next to you is icing on the cake for me. One thing I love about shopping vintage is that it really open’s my mind to creating different looks and silhouettes. A while back I was on the hunt for a pencil skirt and they were nowhere to be found in the stores. I found this one, which is not really a “true” pencil skirt at one of my favorite thrift shops that closed down a few years back. ☹ I say it’s not a true pencil skirt because there is a bit of flare at the bottom, but it’s one of my tried and trues. It always looks good and works in a pinch. One of my all time favorite looks is pairing pencil skirts with vintage concert T’s. I love the juxtaposition of classy and edgy. A rocker T always makes me feel a little wild . . . in a good way . . .
