Whew!! July has been a whirlwind so far! I have been off the blogging grid for a minute, so I thank you for sticking with me! We spent 10 days in Austin, TX with my brother and sister, helping out with the annual sports camp that they put on with their church every summer. I always come back feeling like I can do more in my own surroundings after helping out with the camp. You wouldn’t believe all the effort and love that goes into putting on a free, 4 day camp for kids. I love them for that.
Since yesterday was my first day back in the swing of things, I still feel like I am getting my sea legs. Sometimes switching gears is hard to do . . . especially when the rest of the family is still on vacation! But filling orders is good for that, and thankfully, there have been plenty to fill! I love seeing which bags customers are drawn to. The St. Francis clutch has been in demand as of late. This is a fabulous clutch, if I do say so myself. ;) It holds quite a bit, and it is sleek and minimal. I love how the bee logo looks nestled in the corner. That little bee is probably just a logo to you guys, but it is a reminder to me that progress is being made, every time I see it. It is a reminder to me that I am still here, making, creating and doing what I love to do. And after 8 years as an entrepreneur with many ups and downs, there’s a lot to be said for that.
Heading out to our favorite Thai restaurant in LA this evening. We don’t get to go as often since we moved out of the city. I can’t wait to order my favorite crab fried rice. If you are ever in Hollywood, and want to try some amazing Thai food, try Torung on Hollywood Blvd. + Wilton.
Sometimes it’s hard to see how far you’ve come, when you are looking at the big picture. It’s easy to focus on the day to day minuscule things. The things that are not working, or that someone forgot to take care of, or that didn’t get crossed off the To Do list. It’s especially hard when you are the one responsible for everything. I mean really, there is only so much one human can do in a day. Well, today I had to stop and remind myself of that, yet again. So I just wanted to share my “note to self” with you::
Go easy on yourself peops! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Eventually you will reach your destination!
This Throw Back Thursday I am sharing grainy pictures I found of that time my handbag was front row and center at a lunch with “Lynn” + “Joan” on the television show “Girlfriends.” At the time, it was my favorite show on air, it still is one of my favs, and Tracee Ellis Ross remains one of my favorite actresses to date. I loved stumbling across these photos because it just reminds me that when you set a goal to do something, put the work behind it and see it happening in your mind’s eye, it is only a matter of time before it comes to fruition.
Happy Thursday Guys!!! It’s almost the Weekend!!!!

As much as I love fashion and trying new things,I realized something as I was getting dressed this morning. I love a good uniform. By uniform, I mean that I have learned what types of clothes look good on my body type, and what types of clothes I feel most comfortable and powerful in. Oftentimes my choice of dress depends on the types of activities staring back at me from my TO DO list that day. But generally, I gravitate toward one of my many uniforms when selecting what to wear. One of my favorite go-to outfits is a great pair of skinnies, an off the shoulder shirt, heels and a great bag. Oh, and a stack of bracelets and rings. Works for me every time. I always feel ready to take on what life has to offer in this uniform. Heels really do that for me. I never really feel dressed enough, unless I am wearing a pair of heels… of course that depends on where I am going and what I am doing that day. I’m not the type to shop in heels or even run errands in heels, but when I’ve got somewhere else to go, they give me life. So does a great bag. I’m really into big slouchy bags and soft cross body bags right now. In the image above I am carrying my Allegra Hobo in chocoloate suede. I love her because she has these great gold rivets on the handle and fringe with gold bells. I love a little movement in my clothes. So, what is your favorite YOU-niform? Share in the comments below!
In honor of such a sacred holiday, I am sharing my favorite handbag. It is hard to pick just one, because I have different uses for different bags, but today I will share Allegra. I love her because she is buttery soft and holds pretty much anything and everything. She’s got a hard edge and a soft touch. I love her studded handle and fringed zipper pulls which give her movement. I also have her in chocolate suede with gold hardware. She’s yummy. I’m thinking about reintroducing her for fall in the shop . . .
What is your favorite handbag, and why is it your favorite? Is it the color? Shape? Hand? Do share in the comments below!
