So Fresh & So Clean. Clean.

Can’t you just imagine waking up and walking out through these beautiful glass doors to this gorgeous garden every morning? I can. Cup o’ coffee in hand. Birds chirping. Thanking God for another day to master my weaknesses. Asking Him to help me to be a blessing to everyone I come in contact with. Aaaahhhh . . . yesssssss . . . I’m there . . . But I’m here. In this house, thanking Him in advance for all that I am. All that I have. & All that I will be.

♥ Happy Friday!! ♥

O Happy Day!!! New Samples Have Arrived . . .!!!

I’m so excited! Last week I mentioned that I was expecting new samples to come in any day. Well they arrived on Monday! These are samples of 2 of our best selling styles from previous seasons. I had the manufacturer make a few changes to see how well they could follow my instructions, sketches & notes. The samples allow me to get a better feel for the quality of their work and sourcing capabilities before I commit to working with them.  I think they look fab!! What do you think? The leather is really soft and supple and the construction is sound and clean. I also like the changes made to the styles!! Don’t look now, but these revamped styles may just have to be reworked into the new line!!! Next up, new samples for the 2012-2013 Season . . . I.  Can. Not. Wait. #itsgettingcloser

I hope today is bringing you all you have hoped for. ♥

Interior Motives | ReDecor Project: Phase I

these are the sofas I mentioned Rob painted 2 years ago . . . paint is an amazing thing. ☺

Well, it seems I’ve taken a week off! That totally was not planned. I thought of you often, but was too engrossed in life to stop and write about it. I hope you don’t take that the wrong way. My house is basically upside down right now due to my near-terminal case of paint thisrearrange thatmove this here-no, on 2nd thought, there . . Yeah, you know how it is.  I put Rob to work this weekend. He was probably secretly glad the weekend was over. LOL. Seriously though, he’s such a good sport, thank God I have him to do all the tedious, heavy moving & annoying stuff!! ☺ Anyway, I am making progress in my ReDecor project. But being the overly anxious, impatient person that I am, of course, it’s not quite moving along as fast as I want it to! So far I have painted my closet doors, the back door, the kitchen shelves and 2 chairs in our living room. I still have yet to paint the dining room walls, living room doors (and possibly walls). I’ve also decided to paint the kitchen cabinets. Most of the major painting (walls) will not happen until November. That’s just how it is when you are working with a budget, or boo-jay as I like to call it. But in the meantime and in between time, you bes’ believe I am tweaking and crafting and utilizing everything I have at my disposal to create the desired outcome . . .  or as close to it as possible!! Here are some of the things I have been working on . . .

I created 5 new apothecary jars . . . I am addicted to them. I plan to purchase larger ones soon, but these were all made from jars found @ the Dollar store. Yep, I know how to save a dollar!!!  They will look great mixed in with the larger ones I plan to purchase. The cool thing is these only cost $6 to make! I’ll post a tutorial soon, then you can make your own!!

Our TV died last week. Sad thing is, it was already a replacement TV for the original large one we had in the LRM. We are probably the last family in the 21st century to jump on the “flat screen” bandwagon. But  we couldn’t justify purchasing another TV when we already had 2 working TV’s sitting in the garage and the ones in the house were working fine. Well, seeing as the TV in our bedroom died about 6 months ago, and now the living room TV has passed on, (God rest it’s picture tube) it’s about that time yall!   Since the armoire was no longer needed, I, Rob moved it to the dining room. It has now been repurposed as a homework station! I will show you the before and afters soon. It really makes a difference because now all the homework papers, pencils, backpacks, jackets and madness are confined behind closed doors!! I love repurposing furniture. Once the now defunct armoire was out of the living room, I,  uh, Rob moved a rather large bookcase I had in my office bedroom to the living room. We really needed a place to put all of our books and the bookcase is now serving that purpose. I have another idea to upgrade the look of the bookcase, but I will post on that when I get to it.

Thank you for listening to my ramblings on this phase of my ReDecor project. Can you feel my excitement???? This is therapeutic to me. If I can’t move, I must change my surroundings in some way, shape or form. I dunno what is is, but it is ingrained in my bones!!! Stay tuned!

Are there any home interior or exterior projects you plan to do in the near future?

Confidently Curated . . . Love.

Hope you all had a fab weekend. I awoke to a car that decided it was too tired to move. Not sure what’s wrong with her, but she definitely needs some TLC from the auto doc. ☹ Anyway, life goes on and I’ve been working hard since the kids got to school . . . (long story how that happened without a car!!) We had a blast @ Disney this weekend. I just get so rejuvenated spending time with my family. This week I have a few samples coming in from my manufacturer. Just sample testers to see if I like the quality of their work and findings. I’m excited. Hope this Monday is turning out to be all you hoped it would be. And if it’s not, remember, you have the power to change it!!!

Le Weekend is Almost Here!!!

 Image via

Happy Friday!! Thrilled that the weekend is just a few hours away. For me it officially starts when I pick the kiddies up from school @ 2:30. I don’t really have a choice. All work just seems to stop until I put them to bed @ 8!! Anyway, We’re looking forward to this weekend. My brother is treating the whole family to the Happiest Place on Earth tomorrow. Needless to say, the kiddies (and some of us adults as well) are all super excited. This will be a much needed trip. September & October have been really tight months for us in the $$$ department. So it will be great to be able to hang with the fam and have our only focus be standing in lines to have fun and eating food that we shouldn’t be eating!!!!

YAY!!!

Sunday my ReDecor project starts. Every year around this time I get the Re-do, Re-vise Re-visit bug. That’s when no matter what I do, I can’t stop re arranging furniture, and re-imagining my existing furniture and walls in different colors. And this is where my friends Behr, Valspar & Sherwin Williams come in. They always seem to help get me out of my (we’ve-had-the-same-furniture-for-10-years duldrums). Yeah, paint is an amazing thing. It can transform your life. Literally. Two years ago my husband painted our leather couches. Totally revamped them. You can get really creative when the funds are tight!!! Anyway, I’ll be taking you along for my ReDecor ride. I’m starting out small, but my goal is to have the Dining Room & Kitchen redone-revamped and revised by my birthday in November. Look out Rob, the Honey-do list is about to get a little longer!!! I just love the challenge of making things look good on a budget. . . . but don’t get me wrong, I’m totally up for the challenge of making things look good sans budget! . . . . Or let’s just say, with a much more substantial budget!!!!

Have a fantastic weekend guys. Hug the ones you love as much as possible today. ♥

Thankful Thursdays: The Return.

It’s been a minute since I did a Thankful Thursdays post. I try to walk through each day with thankfulness. Some days are easier than others, but only when my focus is off. I’ve discovered that, for me, it’s only possible to be thankful when I am focused on the good. The blessings. The beauty of life. So today marks the return of my weekly “Thankful” posts. I didn’t mean to stop posting these, I guess I just lost my focus! But I’m back. New and Improved. I don’t think it is possible to be too thankful or grateful, so in an effort not to bore you, I will keep today’s list (semi) short. (tee hee).

Today I am thankful for:

my family

my hard working husband (he gets his own separate line because he works so hard and diligently for our family.☺)
